Verdict:
This is a very good camera and does a solid job with such an ultra range zoom for a pocketable camera. However, for me it is beaten by Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7/ZS3 due to its a bit superior image quality and smaller size. And yes the flash popup on startup is bothersome at times but helps a bit in avoiding ghost shadows when flash is enabled on close subjects.
